Hi I'm 36 years old with G W. I was told by the doctor that removed them from me the first time that it wasn't a major std and not to tell anyone I sleep with because chances are they have HPV. I trusted this doctor so I had many sex partners and didn't tell them. I have looked up information on the internet that says Genital Warts can cause cancer but its rare. This hurt me so I have told 3 ladies I had slept with that I had G W. I was at the clinic the other day and the lady told me after I had told her that I wasn't going to have sex until I'm married and I was only going to Marry someone with genital warts. That I could choose a partner without an std and not to tell her. I believe a true relationship is based on truth am I crazy or does that doctor sound crazy to you. Well I'm thankful that I have a strong relationship with God because I use to be a sex addict and now I'm happy and don't care to have sex at all unless in marriage.
Although I agree with you, I'm done with casual sex too and I have no interest in sleeping around unless it's a really serious relationship.
You wouldn't even know you had hpv, would you? So don't let it rule your life, many people have it and don't even know and having hpv doesn't mean you are promiscuos. I'm 49 and only two sexual partners in my life and found out last month I have hpv, I'd never had any symptoms or warts before. I don't blame my actual partner, he didn't even know because his doctor didn't even bother to explain what the wart was when he had it years before he met me.
