Human papillomavirus is a diverse group of DNA-based viruses that infect the skin and mucous membranes of humans. More than 100 different human papillomavirus (HPV) types have been characterized. Some HPV types cause benign skin warts, or papillomas, for which the virus family is named. HPVs associated with the development of such "common warts" are transmitted...
But this is something that is great to read about. I am sure there is something out there that can help clear this thing!
thanks for the info

But try this! On that page, use the search pages. Type in "green tea and hpv." The name of the article is "Green Tea and Womens Health" however if you type that in, nothing comes up? So use"Green tea and hpv" and you should see it!! lol

i did more research on this topic. like most people already know, there are two phases. during the lysogenic phase, the virus remains dormant in the cell and does not affect the host cell. the host cell continues to function normally, even though the virus has invaded the cell. that means the virus is not currently replicating anymore of its DNA. however, its still present in our cells and has the possibility of replicating at another time.
lets connect this info to egcg... since there is evidence that egcg can kill hpv cells, i think its possible for a person to get rid of hpv during the dormant phase. it would need to kill ALL the host infected hpv cells so that none have the possibility of ever replicating again and that would certainly take several years, but i think its possible.
Whats everyone think? is it possible???
this leads me to my next set of questions. how fast does hpv replicate? how many cells are infected within a given period of time? how much egcg is needed to show a response?
I try to drink a couple cups of hot tea a day. I think I should just make myself a big pitcher of it to sip on all the time.
Did you see in the video that the tea was applied topically?
I don't know much about eliminating the warts themselves, other than removal by acid. Actually a friend said Compound W worked for him but I'd check with a Doc before I try it).
The main thing to keep in mind is that it's been discovered that people's immune systems effectively suppress HPV after about 2-3 years from the time it's contracted, to the point that spreading it is no longer a possibility.
Of course, we all constantly keep getting and giving each other HPV. If you've had more than 3 sex partners in your life, you've had it. It's mostly a non-issue as far as STD's go.
The only real thing to be concerned about is getting a yearly PAP so that they can catch abnormal cells early that might indicate cervical cancer. And if they are caught early, they are usually treated successfully.
I was delighted to hear about this, because I was diagnosed years ago before this information was brought to light. I'm incredibly grateful I got by without acquiring Herpes or something worse!
youre also right that immune system surpresses the virus. i just think there are certain things we can do to speed up that process. that includes eating healthy, excercising, and possiblely digesting egcg or tea that contains egcg :)
