Mark from the previous posts I have read from you, I can form an opinion that while you may have been nervous, you would not intentionally mistreat the person you were on a date with. I say intentionally because you may have mistreated her without knowingly doing so as you would not have been able to read her mind and have knowledge of her expectations.

From where I am sitting, 2 people went on a date , 2 people participated and therefore emailing you to criticise you for a date that in her opinion was not successful is petty. If she felt that she was being mistreated, it was up to her to be honest and say something then and there. I am sure she was perfection incarnated right?

My heart goes out to you as it takes courage to put yourself out there and be expected to be perfect instead of human. Good luck my friend, she simply was a bitter pill to swallow and you are deserving of so much better.

My suggestion is stop looking and it will find you. When I was young and single I was always looking for someone and every person I met while in that mind set just didn't work out. Then I met my husband. We worked together and how we got together was a guy that worked in his department liked a girl that worked in my department and visa versa. My husband and I got enlisted as go betweens (him by the guy and me by the girl) to help them get together on a first date. We became friends during this match making process and really got to know each other without the pressure of dating. The other couple went out one time and ended up hating each other and my husband and I ended up together for 32 years. I have again been given another chance at love and it happened in a similar way. When my husband passed a friend of his who we hadn't seen in about four years found out and sent me a beautiful sympathy card (he barely knew me as we only got together with him sporadically over the years). I texted him to thank him for the card and being the kind compassionate person he is he started to reach out to me via text just to see how was doing. We continued to communicate via texts or calls almost everyday. I was glad I had someone to talk to who knew my husband and he would just listen and try to find ways to make me laugh when I thought I would never even smile again. When he found out i wasn't cooking for myself he invited me to his house to share a meal with him and his tenant who I happened to also know through my husband years ago. Then just to get me out of the out of the house he invited me over to watch football on Sunday's with him and his tenant. All this with no dating pressure just friendship and compassion. I then got last minute free tickets for a concert through my job and so to reciprocate his kindnesses and friendship I asked him if he wanted to come along and he said yes. We went and had a great time sharing laughs and great conversation. The next week he suggested we go out to eat so we did that and again had a great time then went back to his place and talked for hours before he took me home. All this was just with friendship in mind with both of us but we just enjoyed each others company so much that we continued to talk, text or get together and we just kept getting closer and closer till one day we both realized what we were feeling had grown to much more than friendship. We have been together now for about 8 months seeing or at least talking to each other every day and we both could not be happier. I guess what I am trying to say is look for friendship first not romance. That is the best foundation to any relationship. If you like someone first love comes much easier after.

I tried Internet datin ga few times and I did not like meeting someone I knew so little about. I'm a member of Meet Up groups where I can socialize without the pressures of dating. I have met a few women I liked at these and went on dates. So much nicer knowing them a little and knowing there is some connection. So far I realized it's still to early for me, but I have made some great new friends.
