first full year home schooling

hi everyone. im about to start my first full year home schooling. i stopped normal school this year coz my anxiety was making it to hard to go there. even tho i did some school at home last year this is my first full year and first time on a full home school course. dose any one have any advice or tips? thank you! im allso doing football (soccer) and ballet coz i have to have some sport as part of the course.

Hi cubegirl. It sounds like doing school at home will really be helpful for you.right now. The only advice I have is what you'd normally do for school. Plan ahead, stay organized, and speak up when you need help or if something isn't working for you. Keep in mind that while school is very important, other things like coping skills and family and friends and health are actually more important in the long run. Ballet and soccer will possibly allow you opportunities to socialize as well as learn about those subjects.

Since you're going through a program (which is probably either associated with your local school district, or pre-approved in your state (like K12 is in a lot of states)) then your parents probably aren't involved in the administrative aspects of it (like choosing a curriculum, instructing you, tracking your daily/weekly attendance, testing you and giving you grades, etc), so there's really nothing else to be concerned about.

thank you. ill try and plan for everything like you said. and yes your right its a course that my parents dont run so im just doing the same course as other people.

Hey cubegirl, just wondering how your homeschooling is going now that we are getting near then end of the first quarter for a lot of people.

hi. its been way better then normal school was. the sport hours are hard coz im going to 2 clubs/lessons with a bunch off people that i dont really know and thats an anxiety thing but the rest of it is ok. i deffinately prefer it to normal school because i can just do my work instead off worrying about other people and bullies. and i got good marks on most off my tests and in most lessons so far and yeah im a tiny bit ahead off wehre im suppose to be by this point in the year so thats good to. thank you for asking and for helping before :)
