I was diagnosed on Tuesday May 10 as HIV+ so far i am doing okay with the news for the most part i haven't sat and cried my eyes out i just think about things a lot more then i use to. It does get me depressed though which i already have depression issues which sucks big time. I have a pretty big support group my family is great but my grandfather hurt me a lot when he found out about it
He went off saying things about why does everything have to happen to him when it wasn't its happening to me saying things like how could i do this to the family like i purposely went out and got it. That has me really down and every one getting on me about do you know who gave it to you and asking me over and over again and that gets some what annoying and stresses me out even more so.. I love my family and i know their there for me just sometimes they seem to ridicule me more then say supportive things sometimes and i don't think they even realize their doing it just sometimes they make me feel as if i am alone

Just try to hang in there and remember that any time you're feeling down, come on here and chat with someone or go through the posting boards. This works for me because being able to see so many positive stories posted (about medication and CD$ counts) always convinces me that I'll be okay.
