High Cholesterol Support Group
High cholesterol is the presence of high levels of cholesterol in the blood. It is not a disease but a metabolic derangement that can be secondary to many diseases and can contribute to many forms of disease, most notably cardiovascular disease. Below is a link to a map by Quest diagnostics. It measures bad cholesterol by state. The darker shaded states are the states with the highest levels of bad cholesterol:

With all that bad cholesterol in the northern plains, It would make sense that these areas would have the highest rates of heart disease. Right?
Look at this map from the CDC showing the death rates from heart disease. The dark shaded areas have the highest death rates.

Now take a look at this longevity map from Harvard showing the longest lived people in the USA. The dark areas have longevity.

I hope anyone taking statins will print out the diagrams in the links you provided and really compare them for themselves before bringing the copies to their doctors. I know I'll be doing this. Whether or not this information will be falling on deaf ears is another question.
So it's good news and hope that anyone who worries about high cholesterol will take a look and really be amazed.
