how high does your blood pressure get under stress? Mine has been really good for the last few months. My brother and his wife are having problems so he's been staying with me and now it seems like my blood pressure is running 150/85 instead of the 127/78 like it was before he moved in with me.

Stress is definitely a factor for me - actually for most people as studies have shown that for most people blood pressure is higher at work. Family stuff and work raises mine. Now I do meditative yoga and have learned techniques that help - even a five minute breathing exercise. Can't always control my bp under stress, but the "mindful meditation" helps.

do people take bpm for stress related high blood pressure or is that just normal and ok as long as your bp isn't high all the time?

Many years ago while waiting the see my doc. A young child learned that he could slam the lid on a wooden toy box. By the time I was called I was a nervous wreck. While the nurse was checking my BP her eyes grew wide and I was asked if I was in a hurry. I told the nurse that I wasn't and she said she would tell the doc to see a couple of other patients to give me time to calm down. She didn't tell me what my reading was but she did, apparently tell the doc. When he came in, he checked it again and smiled. Then he told me that it had come down nicely. Sometime later he took off the medication completely and I didnt take another med for hbp for almost eighteen years.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
