Hi everyone, well another crazy day and night for me. Came home from work yesterday morning around 9:30am felt fine BP was around 133/85 laid down about 12noon woke up at 2:30pm sat up and was lite headed and my BP had jumped to 162/106 called pcp and he told me to calm down and and see if it comes down it didn't so i called my cardiac Dr he told me to change the time i take my diltiazem from 11am to 2:00pm..if any of you out there take diltiazem what times do you take i and does it work for you. Ok i Get to hospital i sit in the waiting room for about half a hour they check my BP and they tell me it's 120/80 they take me back to a observation room run blood work and other test 3 hours go by and they check it again and it was 126/86 the test all came back normal and they released me.what do you guys think? I'm going through the same thing right now.. Suddenly after a year of my BP being under control, about 116/73, it's now reading 140/90. I go to the Dr and it's 110/74 (of course). Since it's normal, they just say it's stress and send me home.. Today it's back up to 140/89. I'm frustrated. I'm thinking maybe my meds aren't working anymore and I need to try something else.. I'm going to check my bp once a day and if it doesn't come down, i'm calling the dr to have her adjust my meds because even though she isn't concerned about it, I sure am.. I want it back down again... Good luck to you and me both.. Hopefully this is just someting with the weather or maybe brought on by stress and our BP will go back down soon.

Yeah i hear ya. Now my cardiac doc and my pcp say that my high numbers at home may be do to my bp monitors cuff being to small for my arm size cause i have big arms and also they want a ultrasound of my kidneys to make sure their are no blockages. All I know is I'm just sick of it all. Thanks. God bless.
