Read the post "68 natural ways to lower bp". My bp was 107/57 yesterday. I was threatened with meds by my doctor if I did not get it under control when it went to 195/115 one day.
Sorry to hear about your dilemma. Doctors put me on Atenolol and I took that for awhile.. Then they put me on Lopresser and I took that a couple times and stopped because it made me tired and sick.
Dont be fooled into a false sense that medication is the answer to your HBP and Heart issues becaus its not..
The Remedy: Quit smoking, lose weight, get active, and exercise and your BP will come down naturally. Make a lifestyle change. Find out what weight you should be at where you dont have HBP and make a note of that. ( write it down right on your scale ) Maintain that weight and maintain an exercise regimen for the rest of your life and you'll make 90 years of age.. Exercise is the only way for us.
I know some overweight people that do nothing all day long. They eat and watch TV and feed their face and guess what? They have great hearts and not an ounce of HBP.. But, that is them.. Its not you and I. You have to be proactive to keep good heart health..
Good Luck
You should carefully choose the right fish oil supplement since purity is a serious concern. Triple Strength Omega-3 (http://www.newvitality.com/shop/triple-strength-omega-3.aspx ) has the highest purity levels and a high potency of omega-3 fatty acids, too.
Please do not stop taking your prescription medication without asking your doctor first. And remember, too, that a heart-healthy diet and exercise regimen is the best way to keep healthy. All the best!
