I'd really suggest you talk to your doctor who knows you rather than a bunch of untrained people on the net.
If your high blood pressure is being caused by weight, smoking, drinking, eating the wrong foods or stress than I guess that might mean a change in lifestyle might mean you won't require blood pressure medication but as said I'm not a doctor.
