I am on hold waiting for postal service to call me back after 2 days of relentless frustration to track a package which is not helpful for my BP , I'm sure.
and browsing my DS newlsetter , came across your post.
you are doing all the right things , hang in there. !!
mine has gotten better but it took me a long time to have the willpower to do half of what you are doing.
I injured myself a week ago so I've not been able to exercise and I've given myself permission for a 1 week pity party. But my BP seems to be doing well so I want to get back to my good habits starting tomorrow morning. : )
I appreciate the encouragement!
Have you tried Yoga or Tai Chi, these practices might help you to relax and focus on stilling your mind by focusing more on your breath. Meditation might be helpful.
You made a lot of changes quickly, which can be a stressor in itself. Congratulations on a healthier lifestyle.
BTW, what does the Epsom salt bath do for your bp?
The doctor referred me to a physical therapist as well because my BP is all over the map which indicates (to her) an emotional component. During an anxiety attack, it's 180/123 (HOLY CRAP!) and when I'm calm, it's 98/72. When I feel stressed (but not freaking out) it's 130/100.
So she's sending me to a PTSD doctor who does brain'body work. Lookd REALLY weird to me, but I'd rather give this a go for a few sessions before getting into serious medications.
What do you think? Looks weird to me!
