I decided to take a good close look at my armpits today and it was saddening...normally when I shower I don't really look at my wounds, I just bandage them up as quick as possible. Today I looked at every scar and hole and it's got me so hopeless. I've got multiple tiny holes that will not heal. They are leaking a tiny bit but I just can't get it to fully dry up and close. I would just like to get to a point where I don't have to use bandages everyday! I use polysporin daily and in the past have tried isopropyl alcohol on and off but no results. I even started using dove deodorant as it has been working for others but I'm too afraid to use it regularly as I don't want things to get worse. I think our wounds would heal better and faster if we kept them open but with the drainage that's not even possible!
I know there are people out there that have this worse then me and I'm trying to be positive but it's hard as you all know...
I'm due to have my baby in June and hoping to get on some effective antibiotics after that and start using turmeric. Even if it gives me temporary remission I will take it....I could use an emotional break from this disease even if it is short lived.

I know exactly how you feel. When I was pregnant with my second child my HS was horrible...holes everywhere..horrible spells and then to look at it is saddening but please cheer up. Hopefully once you have the baby your hormones will be back in order and the HS will supress somewhat.
I keep mine covered and I also use neosporin on them everytime I change the bandage. It helps me.
I like the smell of dove deoderant but I use Crystal deoderant and it helps as well. I can even leave the bandage off when I am at home and put my Crystal deoderant on. It is one of the best for people with HS. Dove makes my armpits itch like crazy for some reason..
