Ok all. As some of you know I had surgery on my left armpit in October. So far so good. I did find out that they did a sweat gland removal in the armpit along with cutting out all of the affected areas. Still some discomfort, as there is a lot of scar tissue, but no more than I expected there would be.
I don't really sweat from that armpit anymore. I can go all day without there being any smell from it. But longer than that, because I am overweight, well..you get the idea.
I'm still keeping up with washing with Hibicleans, taking vitamins and such. The only difference, and it may be due to or a contributing factor to, has been an increase in flare ups in my right armpit, groin, buttocks and now..duhn duhn duhn....along my c section scar. But I still have one area that isn't giving me hell at least.
We are looking at scheduling me to do the other armpit in January. I swear I can't wait. If I could I would make them do it now. But they want to make sure that I have been able to rehab my left arm first. But hell, I could raise it above my head sooner than they thought I would be able to. But I have always been blessed as a fast healer when it comes to surgery.
I did have a stitch that was hanging out and it was an internal stitch, just the end had kinda wound up poking out of the incision line, so I did clip that back. But other than that it has been fairly easy and I am glad that I didn't have to do any kind of skin grafting or wound vac stuff. Guess that has been the only plus I have found in being overweight to date..lol
After my right armpit is done I will be looking to have my inner thighs done, both at the same time, so that will put me down a bit. And then after that maybe the buttocks or the one along my c section scar...but it will be awhile before I have the confidence to have my groin area done. I have a couple of spots that are currently flaring in that area, but they nowhere near show all the spots in my groin that have been affected, and I hate the idea of having something done only to have one flare up right after surgery, not to mention it could put stress on an area that had just been surgeried up and infect it or put enough pressure on it to make it open up. An open area in that area right after surgery is not my idea of fun times.
Other than that..have been doing as best as I can. Work when I can, rest when I'm not, and try to keep up with my family when I can. Sorry I haven't posted more and more often. Usually if I am not working I am sleeping/resting. And haven't had much computer time except for once in a blue moon at work. Maybe Santa will see fit to get me a laptop for Christmas..lol.
Oh on a side note...I know this may sound bad..but I am not exactly looking forward to the holidays. I was being bombarded with holiday stuff well before Halloween and at this point, after going to the store and seeing that they have already made their first delivery of Christmas trees, I am just groaning inside. Not that I don't love the holidays mind you. Normally I decorate for each holiday, but this Halloween between surgery and having lost all of my Halloween decorations in the house fire, I just didn't have the gumption to decorate..which is odd for me because in 15 years I have never failed to decorate for Halloween, despite never having any trick or treaters EVER. This year was a first...and I'm not really looking forward to decorating for Christmas, but I know I will and my kids can help. But just the idea of pulling out the decorations we were able to save from the fire and those we used last year at the hotel just makes me cringe a little.
Much love to you all, and hope you all are having as pain free a day as possible.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
im looking forward to christmas. ive got a whole load of work to get done by the 20th of dec so the long weekend will be welcome!
id get some new decorations....excuse for some new pretty glitery things lol.
Yeah I could go out and get some more, there are still
A few dollar stores in our area thankfully. I just don't know that I will have the energy to do it all like I used to. Oh well, gotta teach the kids at some point how to carry on Holliday traditions lol.
I worked in an herb shop and was taught alot about how our bodies work.
At the time I was going through my own sickness and i was being miss diagnosis for over two years. I had over 8 surgeries and went through hell after i finally was diagnoised correctly. And after all that , it wasn't the doctors that saved me. It was the herbs, meditation and other remedies that i turned to and have been doing every sense, If it had been up to the docs. they would have just toss me as a loss cause, It was my mother not the doctors that diagnosised me through a magazine of an article that she had read.
One thing i do remember that helped me that we have not been. taught is{ detoxing.}
Maybe if you haven't consider it.It could be helpfull to you. It was not spoken about very much in the 90"s. It will cleanse your blood. And give you back what you need to help your body heal on its own.
Stop talking about being over weight. Its a wonder we don't all end up Couch potatoes with this mess. Fight the good fight! Keep going. You can get through this. You have amazed me with your story and what you have put your self throughPlease look for new resources than surgery. You have been through enough.. Our bodies go through so much and our blood becomes toxed.. When you can start seeing results, then you will be able to focus on your health ,not your weight. I do not believe in my opinion, that being over weight has anything to do with HS and when you begin to start thinking positive and not so down on your self. Your body will begin to heal on its own naturaly.
We can heal our bodies. I know because i am living proof. Give your self credit. Love your self! And rewarded your self. You are a fighter and fighters win! I am so sorry for the HeLL you go through on a one minute to every hour of every day. I wll have you in my prayers and thankyou for being you. Also My sickness was not hs. It was a parasite, chemical in the body that feasted off my organs and stayed in dormant until i had my first child and then shot through my body. When it was all said" and done i weighed just a little under 70 pds. and i started at 128 pds. Today i'm healthy ,happy and Blessed and I did find a cure. I am a persitent women and i will not stop until we as a group do the same with HS. All of us need to be reminded that our circumstances want define us and that we are loved and respected for what we half to endure on a daily basis!.Blessings!
Savedbygrace, hope you get over the cold, so irritating when stuff like that pops up and ruins well laid plans..lol Hope things in your areas calm down.
