Is it Co2 surgery or how is it? Through a plastic surgery? Do you have before and can you do after pics? Didn't you have surgery recently before? Did they tell you how long your recovery will be? I had the armpits done like 12 years ago. I just got hs back in my left armpit and it's like a whole row of them under my surgery scar. Probably gonna have to do another surgery there. Anyway I hope you have a speedy recovery!

I will be happy to post pics up shortly. No skin grafts. I have 4 long incisions and stitches done through a plastic surgeon at UNC. We didn't do wound vac simply because of the fact that (now that I have done further research) wound vacs can simply be a pain in the ass to deal with, not to mention the pain involved with the changing of dressings alone (and I wasn't about to hold my breath in the hopes that I would get a nurse that would be willing to "dope" me before ripping that bad boy outta that hole...lol).
From what I understand he used contrast to make sure all the tracts and tunneling were visible so he could make sure to get them all. All in all so far I have no complaints and the pain is minimal despite so much tissue being gone. I'm not holding my breath that it won't recur in that same armpit, but if it buys me some peace in that arm..if even for a little bit, then it was so well worth it.
I left the hospital the same day it was done. Started at 3pm and I was home by 8. Not even so much as a scratchy throat, which usually when I have had surgery I sound like a toad talking through a mouthful of gravel...but I didn't even have that.
I'm trying to keep my stress levels down, as that is what usually triggers flare ups for me, but right now it is hard as we are fixing to be going through a lawsuit with my daughter's middle school (thank god she is in high school now, but my son is still in the middle school so...ugh.) A janitor "grabbed" her when she was in 6th grade and had told the head janitor about it and he did not report it or believe her. And it is now all just coming out now. The police are involved, they have 3 guys that they have labeled as suspects, and just today my daughter had to go in for her formal forensic interview, so that the detective and DA will have all the info they need to make charges once they discover which guy it was that done it. I have been told over and over that because the head janitor at the school did not report the incident to someone higher up (whether he believed her or not) that I should be seeking a civil attorney for my daughter. So now that is what I am in the process of doing. Thankfully my employer is helping me with that, as his dad is a big time lawyer here and so is his brother so he knows who I need to talk to and has already given me the info to contact them, which I already have done.
So now I just have to sit and wait to see what is going to happen from here so I will know which way to go.
