I'm so sorry you have been in so much pain. I've been there many times. I finally stopped taking baths about two months ago. My husband suggested showers instead, because he felt a bath spreads the bad bacteria causing everything to get worse. I've tried many new things, so I can't be certain the removal of baths has contributed to my improvement. My sores are going away and the ones remaining are shrinking and staying down. :) In the shower I wash down first with Dial bar soap, then a wash with Hibiclens and let that sit about 5 min before rinsing. When I get out of the shower I wipe down my HS area with alcohol-soaked cottonballs, then I blow dry the areas with my hair dryer, then I apply antibiotic cream, atop that I apply Extra Strength Desitin. If I have some of those bumps without heads, I also apply lanolin to them. I get my lanolin at the local feed store; big yellow tube of Corona's. Lasts a loooong time. Often heals the big swollen sores before they get painful and drain. I avoid bandaging my sores, but if they're draining, then I have to bandage throughout the day. But at night I just let everything "breathe". I sleep in big cotton tees with boxers. If I have a flair up with draining sores, then I put a towel under me in bed. That way I don't have to wash sheets daily. Also, I never use my towels more than once before washing them. I try to avoid anything that encourages the bacteria to hang around. Over the past two weeks I've started taking AZO yeast tablets and a probiotic twice a day with food. Had further helped the healing speed of the sores. :) Maybe something I've written will help you.
