Hello everyone! I havent posted anything for awhile. Just kind of out of it I guess. I have been catching up on the posts I missed.wow! A lot of stuff going on--and some new members! WELCOME!
Well, as for myself, I have been ok I guessthe usual flare ups, pain and fatigue. And of course feeling down about myself and why I cant do what I used to be able to do. But I try to be positive!
I often meditate on the Bible and the comfort I get from it. As a matter of fact I was thinking the other day about Job, the faithful follower of God. If you are familiar with his story you know one of the severe trials he was afflicted with was boils from head to foot.Ever wonder if it was HS? Just wondering
Anyway, I was reading over the book of Job. He had False comforters just like a lot of us do. You know the onesthe people who say, the pain shouldnt be so badorits only acneorits because your too fat orYou need to wash more oftenor________ You fill in the blank! You heard it all before too! In Jobs case he remained faithful and was rewarded by God. We need to remain firm in our faith as well and the future that God promises will make all our hopes and dreams come true (Revelation 21:4) and He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor PAIN be anymore. The former things have passed away.
One thing I really appreciate here in this support group is the up-building encouragement and practical advice given. Yes, sometimes in some posts I noticed some cranky remarks to each other, but thats how families are right? And we are all in this HS familyso to speak. We are here for each other and give comfort when needed, and sometimes a kick in the pants!
Just want to do a few Shout outs:
Gfpaperdoll: Hello! I have been trying to be GF, but have had difficulties. It seems like every time I try, something messes me up! It hasnt helped my HS, but like I said I havent been consistent. However, every time I do get a good GF week, I feel a lot better on a whole physically. My hubby said he really wants to try GF also, as he notices that I feel better and wants to be supportive. Thank you for all your posts that help us with our diet, they are very informative and appreciated.
Tangerinebear: Hi! Just want to tell you how I admire all your hard work you do for your lovely daughter! Also, your advice and encouragement is really appreciated. Hang in there!
Dustbucket: Dude! Hang in there too! You have a lot to deal with, not only HS. Keep up with your AA meetingsYou mentioned you have been trying to be more spiritualkeep it up. That is the biggest and best source of encouragement every day, and in the big picture LIFE! Keep up with GF diet too if you can.
Ajensen: Thank you for your positive outlook and the great experiences youve shared regarding your MEDS etcvery informative! It helps me figure out what to say to my Doctor!

I have been hitting meetings again lately doing a little better in the spiritual department these last few days. Just got to make it habit again is all I will be alright.
Job is my favorite book in the Bible. Gives me hope and inspiration thinking about that man.

soy, corn, natural flavorings, gluten..... She now eats organic chicken, broccoli, coconut milk, pumpkin, cantelope, apples, blackberries and peaches..... she is a very fussy eater and could eat more veggies but chooses not to! God bless you and this is doable.... Now paleo is normal in my home.... no more birthday cakes, or anything to make my daughter feel she is missing junk foods...we eat healthy and FEEL SO MUCH BETTER XO tangerinebear xo
