like i said this is a very serious question, and i am very embarrassed about asking you all.
ok, if you had surgery on your buttocks and couldnt sit on the toilet at all, how did you use the restroom. im actually really worried about it, because my surgeon told me not to bend in anyway because of tearing the incisions.

While it is not the neatest way to go you can place one leg on each side of the toilet seat and bend at the KNEES and go potty, (or simply squat a little!!), it might not make it all in and might even splash on the lid, the seat or the floor the first few times you try to go this way, but believe me after a couple of times you will become an expert at it! I kept a wet washcloth on the sink and when I DID miss I would toss it on the floor and wipe it up with my foot and pick it up with my toes and toss it on the toilet seat so I could easily reach it. Or better yet, let the honey grab it for you! LOL. There is a way around any situation with HS we just have to be creative! If it hurts to bend to wipe, which it did in my case, I would jump in the shower and use the hand held attachement to wash off and then use the hair dryer propped with some towels on the toilet to dry myself off rather than try to wipe with the towels, this worked wonderfully after I practiced a few times, and if I were you I would practice NOW before you need to do it so that you are more comfortable with it when the time comes plus you can experiment how to clean up the floor and clean yourself off or dry yourself. Using a "dish drainer" to hold the hair dryer might work better too, but I never had to go that far, the towels worked wonderfully! Just make sure you don't block the exhaust fan holes! LOL

I know this is a sensative subject... So glad your brave and trusting enough to ask. I know there are "bed pans" out there. You can use these while laying down. It's not the most comfortable but better than tearing an incision site... Also, not sure what it is called but, after I gave birth to my daughter, they gave me like a squirt bottle to rinse off with, after using the restroom ,so that I didn't irritate the incisions. You might be able to ask about one of these and if it would be ok to use around your incision site. I'm not sure where your surgery is exactly but maybe ask about a stool softener as well... Best of luck to you!!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
