We all have our theories about HS, right? Well, I spent the last year with NO flare-ups! Thought I was freaking cured! Then the past several weeks I've had 2 spots flare-up: one minor-ish and one epic brand new one in my arm pit. It occurred to me because of a couple annual events/celebrations we do each year that this is the exact same time of year that I had my last occurrence. So the only connection I can make with this season is my fall allergies. I have a horrid allergic reaction to outdoor mold and spend much of the fall with an allergy cold. Anyone ever heard of there being a connection to allergies?? Or what might explain fall reoccurrences? It seems such weird timing. The sweaty summer months I would expect but not fall!
I think you're quit right that there's a connection with allergics and the flare-ups. When your immune-system is getting worse the spots will flare up asswel. After all it is a kind off infection right?
I was searching for answers by myself and i found Chlorella, it is the oldest plant on earth with some incredible effects. You will found more if you search on Google. I asked the docter if it could help and he said "I don't know, we don't research medicines that have a good name that sells themselfs". So I guess it is up to us, to search for something that will work. I also know the pharmaceutical industries (and docters) are getting big moneys for medicins and they won't figure out if a product simple like Chlorella works because they wont get money from it and ofcourse it takes time to figure out.
However to come back on your allergy connection. I found out by myself, when my immune system is getting worse, the infection is getting bigger. For example, when I drink bear or when i get the flu or even when i get some stress the spot is getting bigger. I also stopped smoking sigarets (also not good for the immune system) because 80 till 100 % of the people that have HS smoked or is still smoking.
But i ordered a big bucket with chlorella and I hope this will help. Chlorella makes your immune system better and helps against the most of the causes that let the infection getting bigger.
I am just searching for an answer that will help everyone and in the Netherlands we have expression that goes like this: prevention is better than cure. I hope Chlorella it is.
