ive had an issue similar to yours. ive posted about it before, but this is what helps me.

whether i shower at night or in the morning, every night i use bactine spray under my arms as a cleanser. i alternate (depending on what the area looks like) using 10%benzoyl peroxide acne gel, & a&d or neosporin ointment. ive had mine drained also, but there's at least 1 or 2 spots that fill up again every so often. i switched to a natural deodorant, a roll-on containing no aluminum, & dial soap. the peroxide the acne gel contains dries the areas up a little, but some days/nights i keep the areas covered with gauze (using paper tape because pulling it off over & over really irritates my skin) and it seems to help them dry out.

the only other thing i can say is if you try the gel, wear a white shirt. some can lighten the fabric of your shirt if its not white.

hope you find something that works for you! i know these things may not, but you'll eventually find something that makes it easier to deal with.

Go to your doctor and ask for a prescription of Evoclin 1% foam. I hope you have good insurance to cover the cost, otherwise might cost you $200.00 for it. It's a foam that you put on your armpits after your shower. I think you can use it before bed too. It will clear you right up!

gawd I have a hard nodule under the skin on my chest that hurts so bad. Its about the size of a quarter and I wish it would just go away. My daughter keeps inadvertently pushing on it when I have her in my arms and the pain is horrid. Every morning it seems like its gotten smaller but as the day wears on it starts to swell, ugghhh. Any tips on how to get hard nodules to subside?

I don't really know how to make it go away but if you want to drain them put a drawing sav on it and poke it. I have also heard that the heating pan on it should draw it out or make it go away. I'm not certain. I sure hope you get relief soon!!!

I had one like that on my thigh. My derm did an outpatient surgery, cut it open, cleaned out the sinus track and left it open to head by secondary intention. I had to change the bandage twice a day for about 10 days, then switched to once a day for a week or so. My derm wanted me to leave the a special dressing on for a few days as the stuff in the dressing and that comes from the wound would help to heal it. However, the area is an area that moves the most on my body, so I couldnt keep a dressing on that long. It has been about six weeks now and I am just about healed up and changing dressings every 3 days or so. It's healing beautiful, from the inside out and my derm says that the only way to get rid of a reoccurring one is to burn out the track (or something like that). As long as I don't continue to keep getting one in the same location over and over, in essence making it worst and worst every time, I am okay with it. I find that if I have an empty pocket without letting the flesh heal from the inside out, that it continues to fill up and the spot gets worst and begins connecting, via sinus tracts, to other ones.
Just another option.

A heating pad is sooo helpful. Not just for the pain but it helps with swelling. Tumeric also allows the inflammation to be relieved. I take 500 mg. everyday with a day off every week. Zinc is also a valuable tool in home treatments of H.S. but for gods sake DONT SQUEEZE OR POKE IT! it will drive the infections and inflammation further into healthy tissue. Just try not to stress, better days will come and take some I.B prophen for pain and swelling. GOOD LUCK!!!

See your Dr. and have them open it and put a rubber drain in it. That will allow it to heal from the inside out, closing the "sack" which then cannot fill again. I suggest you consult with your Dr. about finding a surgeon experienced with HS. to assist in treating your lesions. Best of luck to you, will keep you in my prayers!
