I just received a (unsolicited of course..lol) message, I thought it funny..it has been my "laugh" for the day. The way it is written I can't tell if it is a man or woman, and I was sorely tempted to write them back XD. I will be reporting it, since DS is a site for support NOT a dating site. This kind of stuff aggravates me to no end. IF I was looking to date someone, I would either go out into the world and look or I would go to a dating site, not troll a support site. For laughs, here is the message I received....

Ok..first off.."protected by that special man"...and then you tell me you are a "sincere man"? WHICH IS IT?..GRIEF...at least if your gonna scam me..at LEAST keep which gender you are straight.
So much for loving HONESTY and TRUTH, can't even be HONEST about which gender you are.
Second..You saw my profile and was interested in me? Not likely unless you have similar conditions as mine..to which there are none listed not to mention ALL of your newly added "friends" are all female and you have not joined ANY support group here at DS.
Third...IF you had actually looked at my profile and actually READ ANYTHING about me..you would see that serious exercise and jogging is NOT something I'm going to be doing a lot of anytime soon.
These kinds of people make me absolutely SICK. Preying upon people who are in pain or dealing with serious issues because you feel you can scam them easier is just wrong. Guess he isn't "meditating" on THE WORD as much as he should be, if at all.
I swear I am sorely tempted to reply to him, just for kicks.
K my rant is over..thanks for reading..I know it is off topic..but this "person" just caught me at a bad day (new spots in new location have appeared..yay..just friggin yay).

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? I deleted it as soon as I got it - thinking it was some kind of spam/scam/virus thing.
This was a few days after I signed up for this site, and gave me second thoughts for a minute... BUTTTT finding all of you here in the HS group was worth getting one random message - and there hasn't another one since.. (GOOD!)

I also contacted everyone he had "friended" (ironically ALL female) and gave them the heads up on him and also sent them a copy of the message he sent me.
People like him just grate on my nerves, simply because there are folks on DS that are vulnerable and sometimes desperately lonely. And I would bet my bottom dollar hooking up with someone willing to troll a support site for a date is not the kind of person anyone here on DS needs to be involved/in a relationship with.

I've received several unsolicited messages like this since joining DS. There are folks out there who think that this kind of thing is ok, and there are sites out there who go to places like DS and make fake profiles in the hopes they can sucker someone into joining their site in the hopes of finding someone. It is sad that people are willing to do others, especially people needing help, like this.
I have not heard anything else from him, but did hear back from the females I contacted about him. They were all grateful that I had given them the heads up about him, which was nice, but not necessary, in my opinion. The point of joining a support site is to help support the members, and having been here a while, I have seen all kinds of tactics used to try to get members info, scam them into buying quack products, scam them into joining dates sites, and too many others to count. What good is a support site if we are not willing to try to help watch out for one another.
But anyways..I'm rambling. ^._^
This message you got for sure sounds like a Scam though. The scammers use any and all means to ensnare vulnerable people, so I am not suprised they will be on DS looking for victims.
Still, a very funny message haha.
