Living with HS is such a drag...nothing seems to be working for me right now and I cant get my HS under control..just when I think Im done with flares a new one pops up. I have pretty much been flaring for the last 3 months with no break and its driving me insane. Ive been taking BC Pills, turmeric, vitamin C, zinc, multivitamin, keeping very clean and using TAO polysporin everyday but nothing is working..I cant even get in to see my derm until October because the wait time here for any derm is so long. I dont know what to do. The only thing I havent tried is eating super healthy but my food has never been the source of my flares before. Every other time I had a major outbreak I was able to manage it with BC Pills and turmeric, I have no idea what is going on with my body. These post partum hormones are crazy, makes me afraid to get pregnant again. What if im in worse shape then I am now after every child I have :(

Omg ! You sound just like me !! I'm soo sorry you got more flare ups! Just a couple days I got a new one in a new place... Then last night a second one !! Holy crap ! I want to go back on bc and I'm taking zinc and sprilactone( hormones) and I've just stopped eating a lot of glucose. But fortantly I use to work for my dermatologist and my sister in law is a surgical/medical assistant there. So Monday I called and I'm going in today ( Thursday). Do you think your HS is related to hormones ??? This is a strange question, but when I went off the bc in December my HS went crazy- I only use condoms now and I thought maybe the condom was causing all the flare ups- but my doc says no way.... Have you heard anything about condoms and HS? Tumeric ??? In pill form ?

I really hope you feel better ! I'm totally there with you girl seriously, I'm very angry I get new ones even when I take care of myself ! There has to be a happy medium with this skin disorder!!!??? Correction : gluten not glucose - but I decreased my sugar in take as well- first week on new diet

I am allergic to Latex and MOST condoms are Latex.. I do not know if that would be a problem for you or not, but maybe you should try a Latex FREE condom and see if it helps at all. I hope it does!

thnx AmberLeena..definitely sending you healing vibes!!! Yes, I think my HS is mostly hormone related. I find when I am off BCP's my HS goes crazy..I personally havent heard anything regarding condoms and HS but with this disease you never know, anything can cause flare ups. Turmeric works for some people but i havent noticed much difference. Ive taken pill form and the powder mixed in water.

like dealing with HS isnt enough, now Ive got an infected toe that started out of nowhere. Soo much pain :(

Wow I have noticed the same thing after coming off my birth control!! I've been on it well over a year and it was somewhat under control. I was getting migraines and so I came off. Now as we speak I have one sore healing and one forming. I'm in so much pain. Now I have to decide, do I go on my birth control again and risk a stroke, or keep suffering. No idea what to do.

Have you tried any other type of Birth Control? Maybe it's the type thats bothering you. I have problems with each one and had to make a choice on the symptoms I was willing to have. I am currently on the Mirena IUD. It has caused the hair growth from PCOS to be worse but at least it has regulated my hormones so they arent really playing a factor. I am currently at Stage 3 where nothing really helps anymore but at least my birth control is keeping everything pretty steady. Good Luck!!!
