I hear great things about the Turmeric & Zinc if accutane doesn't help me, I may go back to trying them again with more constancy.
Right now, I am on day 13 of a 6 month trial. I'm currently taking 1 20mg capsule twice a day. My doctor plans on doubling the dose next time I see him. So far, I don't see to much change. I have the usual side effects, dry skin and chapped lips.
The only really update I can give anyone at the moment is that the process of getting accutane is such a PAIN!
Each month I have to get a blood test a week before my appointment. At my appointment, they pregnancy test you and write you your new prescription. Then, I have to go home and login onto the ipledge website and conform that I know certain information about the drug. After that, It opens a 7 day window that I can fill the prescription. If I don't fill within 7 days I have to start the process over next month.
Also, I had a hard time finding a pharmacy that carried it and my issurance gave me the run around for 5 of those days before they decided if they were going to cover it.
It's to soon to tell what this drug has in store for me, but I will share my experience with everyone.
