I had peri anal abces in december last year it was very deep and big and i felt very sick with lots of pain it had to be surgicaly removed and had a drain put in for a week which nurses flushed two times a day.
It healed in 3 weeks than two weeks later i had anoter one on the same place more at the surface it popped in the er on the table.
I asked the surgeon (eppedural) if this was also hs or something chronic but he said no it was just bad luck. Now my scar is bleeding it hurts bad and i can`t ride my bike anymore .
My question is is this hs ? Has it tunneled its way from my thigh and groinarea to my ass? Is that possible? I can`t see what is going on and that makes it more frustrating!
@spaceteddy, that bike seat could very well be annoying your rear end. Hope you heal soon also.
@spaceteddy I agree that the bike seat is adding pressure back there and aggravation too. I know that sitting too long used to make me flare up.
Does anyone know if removal of the packing hurts? Not looking forward to doing that
Good luck girlfriend...
It's a drag, not due to pain, but just because it's generally disgusting. Packing a wound however is a good thing because it helps healing and keeps scaring to a minimum. All wounds heal from the inside out. When a wound is deep, it needs help keeping the moisture in until the lower levels of the dermus can start to heal all the way through. People often times think they need to keep a wound dry but that greatly slows healing to the deeper levels. When you can remove the packing that's a good sign you well on your way to getting it closed.
If you soak it well, you should have no pain.
