I live in Alabama and it's not legal. If that were to become an option for HS I wouldn't even be able to do it legally in my state. I think the marijuana would be safer than all the Lortabs and Oxycotin I am prescribed.

in my teenage years i always wanted to try it. basically just to fit in. but i was training to be a cop since i was 13.soooo, trying it was out of the option. but now that i can never be a cop. i've questioned giving it a try for my HS. but like ebony said. its not legal here in nevada. and i wouldnt consider it now until it is.

I think its a great idea- I wish they would legalize it- it would mean more money in their pocket- duh!!!! We could get a tax refund from all the revenue it would accrue.

I think its an excellent herbal remedy but some people can't tolerate it. Its an individual choice- like any other drug.

What i would like would be doctors actually prescribing pain pills for people that need it. People abuse it so much its hard to get any help around here

I think medical marijuana is an excellent idea for pain management. While the topic IS very controversial as you stated, I wish that it were legal here in my state, because having something that helps your pain, and your state of mind, and not being able to do it legally is absurd.

I will have to stick to opiates. MaryJane makes me paranoid out of my mind....but maybe not if I could get my hands on the higher-grade stuff. But dealing with drug dealers and stuff is NOT my thing...can't handle that. So if it is ever legalized I will be the first in line, but until then, naw.

I am probably one of the few who gets sick of marijuana, but I would suggest it just in terms of relaxation. Legal - illegal?

legal or not i think that it helps with pain, in cunjuction with my loritab (180 10.325 a month and im going to a pain management dr to hopefully get stronger med) it helps the massive depression i feel, again in cunjuction with my xanax...i know its not legal here..but i think that its an excemption im willig to deal with...

legal or not, marijuana helps me!! i do not live in a medical marijuana state, and i risk incarceration to attain and consume my medicine. i have in the past been on xanax for anxiety, lexapro for depression and 10ml vicodin (as well as phenergan for the associated nausea) for the pain. while those medications helped, pot works best. at least for me. i stopped using legal narcotics over a year ago, and soon i felt i could stop the xanax and lexapro. i now feel less sluggish and more in touch with my emotions, and the pain relieving ability of the higher grade strains is truly wonderfully shocking!!! while i still have down days, and somedays the pain is so strong even marijuana doesnt help enough to function, those days are limited, and i would NEVER go back to legal pharaceuticals again!!!

If you have HS and arnt smoking pot your depriving yourself of a solution that really works. legal or not, you need this solution. its the difference between being able to walk and not, and being able to even get up in the morning! ffs try it.

Thankfully, I live on the MA/RI border. My PCP and Dermo are in RI and even though I can not get a script for medical marijuana because I am not a RI resident, it is very easy to find.

Since Ma decriminalized pot I buy no more than what falls within the misdemeanor level. I have no qualms about paying the $100 fine if I get caught. Considering I smoke every day and it helps me immensely, it is well worth the risk. And yes, I voted supporting the legalization of medical marijuana in Massachusetts...

Lastly for those who live in states where the penalty is harsh for marijuana, I suggest trying Salvia. Salvia is legal and it is readily available for purchase on the internet if you can not find it in a smoke shop. Until next time...

Interesting that this topic came up. I've been a daily pot smoker for about 8 years, and recently decided to but the bong down for a while, at least a couple months. I definitely have nothing against weed, I just want to clear the 'fog' that years of smoking causes. Too soon to see if my HS likes this or not...

I live in Oregon and its very legal here.
I know cali its just a recomendation but in Oregon its prescribed.
I also did some research into it for pain and to get my hunger back while I have a sore.
I cannot eat and havnt ate for the past 3 days and would love to be able to. I just cannot while I have one I end up getting sick to my tummy if I try.
So when I'm done with my looking into it ill update anyone who cares.
My main question is what negitives would come from it.
I see all the positive in it but I know there has to be something negitive that goes along with it.

I'm a Medical Marijuana user, I live in California. I've used it since I was 16, started off for chronic back and joint pain. It does help me relax when I have a breakout and it does help with the depression I sometimes have. I think it's a great way of releasing pain and being in a "calm" state of mind. I've been given pain pills that make me feel outside myself and dependant on them. I refuse to take them anymore. Marijuana has no statistics of causing addiciton, unlike most pain pills. Although it is legal in California, I use to do it way before it was. I agree with it being worth the risk but to each is own and you do what's right for you. Good luck
