Hey all.
I hope everyone is doing as well as they can with this disease. My question for you all to day is very simple.
Have any of you found any ways to make your scars lighter in color?
I am very self conscious about wearing any kind of tank top or short sleeved shirt even when not having a break out because of the dark ugly scars. I know I can't get rid of them but hopefully someway they can be lightened and not as noticeable.
Someone suggested tanning to me to, which seems like a nice idea for the summer but what about winter, also I don't want to expose my skin to all those UV Rays for extensive periods of time. I have enough problems with my skin as it is. I have been considering the idea of going to tan maybe once or twice a month for small increments to see if it will help in anyway, but am still unsure of it.
Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am going to a concert in July and it is going to be outside all day so I'd really like to wear a tank top.

If it's because of keratinization, then maybe treatments that are known to helpful in other instances might likewise be helpful with HS? Something like any safe and sensible home remedies for age spots, for example? I'm totally just guessing there, though.
of the scarring. I don't wear tank tops or anything of that nature because of the scarring and it makes me feel so self conscious. I'm also currently talking with a really nice guy, nothing has come of it and I don't know if anything will but in the event it does I don't want to have to explain all these horrible scars.
