losing weight

does losing weight make this disease go away for good and never come back.because alot of doctors have told me that losing weight can help with this disease and this really stressfull on me if i try to lose like 40 pounds i wonder.if that can help its just that this problem is hard and i can,t take it no more i hate hs disease i have a little wound under my scotum and a wound at the very bottom of my but chicks they are so bad im just wondering if losing the weight can help this problem.

@matthewmccorkle, losing weight is only going to make things better but I don't think that it will get rid of HS alone. Losing weight will help with any friciton you might have and it will also help you feel better.

I have had so many doctors tell me losing weight is key. 37 lbs and 2 yrs later, surgery was the best remedy for me.

For me losing weight helps alot...less weight=less friction=less bumps.

I am losing weight and I must honestly admit that my HS has gotten better. 4/3/12 is when I started and I have not had any new outbreaks since. The meal plan I am on is something that you can take on as a lifestyle instead of just being another FAD diet so I plan to eat this way forever..

i know some people dont have the same results but for me...IT was worth it just to see if Change would come.
