hey the same thing happens to me not only dont they stay closed they take forever o heal im in pain alot as well if u ever wanna talk im here believe me i know what u r going thru

Its not the pain. I'm pretty much numb back there at the moment. It was the first time I changed the dressing myself and I looked at it and imagined how its going to look when it actually does heal. Its a huge scar from the side of my left breast right to my back with a giant opening in the middle. I've pretty much been able to stay positive with my body image with this disease but there's only so much positivity I can have. I feel like a disgusting ugly monster and I'm just going to die alone and disfigured. I've been crying for the last 24 hours uncontrollably. My eyes are puffy and bloodshot and they tried to send me home from work. Everyone was really worried but when I tried to talk the them about it all I got was "it can't be that bad" and "there's always someone in the world worse off than you" which was confirmation that I can't talk to anyone I know about how I'm feeling. All I can do is sit here and cry alone.

Yup. Story of my life. I had surgery 2 weeks ago, and I am dealing with an open wound that won't heal. Not only that, but the left side of my buttocks still have the stitches in it, and he won't take them out yet because the skin is not holding together. He won't suture you up again once it's opened. Ask him for Silver Sulfadiazine Cream to help close the wound. This will take some time, but it will help a lot for it to heal from the inside out.

Hey, I just read whats happening to you, and I know how you feel like the many others on here that have replied. I'm in the same situation..I got surgery done about a week ago, I had my painful lesions removed they went under the skin and removed all the sacks, then stitched me up they put 2 sets of stitches, the first set are dissolvable and the second were regular. I got the tops ones removed and everything seemed to be healing fine, 2 days ago I guess I made a sudden movement and ripped open the bottom portion of my incision. The spot that I have all of my flares up is rght in my cleavage so its hard to not move and stretch it.

I'm so sorry for what your going through, I wake up every morning now and when I look down and see this ugly incision I just start to cry, I've been depressed too but I try and not let this bring me down. It's such a frustrating thing to go through time after time and to hear the same answers.

If you ever need to talk even though you dont know me, I'm here.. it brings me some comfort to know I'm not alone with this! and that I can share my stories with others that actually know what I'm talking about and can give me helpful tips or just some new info that I havent heard.
