Abbot is testing Humera on a number of ailments to check its effectiveness on any or all. I submitted my information to take part but received no answer. No clinical study nest Orlando for HS. Closest being in a city nest Fort Lauderdale. Too far from Orlando.

I believe they are both autoimmune or immune related conditions that can be traced back to gene PTPN22, along with Crohn's disease and plaque psoriasis, all of which seem to be greatly helped by Humira. I've posted a long diatribe on this a while back called "Why Doctors Get HS Wrong". I do not believe that this is a skin condition at all, but an autoimmune condition, which is why most dermatologists get it wrong. Yes, it manifests as skin, most certainly, but if it is treated ONLY as a skin condition, most meds., etc. will fail. We've (my daughter) has been on Humira for about 3 months now and what we've seen is miraculous. Not a cure, yet, but as close as we can hope to see right now. Bless you and good luck.

How do you contact the people responsible for the recruitment at these trials. I see that two for NC are not taking recruits yet..but they will be..and one is currently taking recruitment for NC, but I don't see how you can contact them to be in the study.

This is the one I would like to contact as they have a location in Chapel Hill which is closer to me than Winston Salem (although i would drive to Winston Salem too if need be!).
