I used to be on this group years ago and posted about something I found that managed my HS but nobody was interested.  I still manage to control my HS using this same method so thought I would post it to you guys yet again and hopefully some of you will try it and get some relief. I'm not selling anything or any site that sells anything so it's your choice if you want to try it.  In the past year I've advised 3 people (friends of friends) who have had results from using two products you can buy from any health shop.

To get your HS under control, go out and buy some manuka honey.  If I have a flare (which usually occurs because I run out of my maintenance tablets) I take a tablespoon of manuka honey once a day, if it's a bad flare, 2 tablespoons a day.  On top of this I take 2 cinnamon tablets a day, again if it's a bad flare I take 2 tablets of cinnamon twice a day.  Once your HS settles down, I stop the honey and carry on with the 2 cinnamon tablets daily as maintenance. You could continue with the honey to be sure but drop it to a teaspoon or two.

People on here seemed to be of the opinion that as it wasn't prescribed medication that it was a lame idea, but I've been using it for years now and it's the only thing that has helped me. This is not a cure! It is a method of managing outbreaks/flares. I rarely get them anymore.  All you have to do is remember to take your cinnamon and honey so not a rigourous plan of action, lol.

For those of you in the UK, I get my manuka honey from Holland & Barrett (I try and get it when its on special offer as it is bloody expensive) and my cinnamon from Healthspan (my personal preference is the Healthspan Cinnamon but you can get it from Holland & Barrett also).
