I hope you all are doing okay today. It is thursday and we are off to the derm doctor today and should be interesting if nothing else. We go to a Children's Hospital since my daughter has down syndrome and has special needs. Last night I was bathing her and noticed she definately has a inflammed red area under the arm. I thought her arm looked red yesterday but was not really pronounced..... Well, last night bingo, there it was...... She is due her period any day now. I told her that her new nickname would be blotchy lovingly....She laughed. I wish she would tell me when these things start growing but she never does.... I discover them.....
The past couple months right before her period bang, we have alot of trouble....I am not upset, I am just concerned as to what meds the doc will put her on....I had her on bactrim for 2 weeks, took her off yesterday and gave her the 1 maintanence pill last nite and thought okay....tomorrow the doc will probably change her drug to minocycline...then again who knows..... Has anybody taken minocycline without having major issues? I have read that this drug can produce self-induced lupus and that scares me point blank.... Also can give major headaches and dizziness .......
I got up early as I could not sleep and had all of this going on in my head. I pray every day for my daughter's health..... I also am her cheerleader..... I cook for her and take care of her every day.... She is the love of my life...... We will continue to fight the good fight..... My hat is off to all of you that fight this disease..... It is one that baffles the medical community and crumbles lives in pieces.... I fight the depression of trying to beat this thing..... My daughter does not get depressed about it..... I do...... Sorry am venting and thank you for listening..... I would love to hear from you ladies as to what you take for this before your periods to keep the beasties down...... On the depression thing I struggle to stay positive through the thick of it but coming here has definitely eased that burden of carrying this illness in silence!
She is lucky to have someone as dedicated as you!!!
