I know exactly how u feel. Its horrible any time my fiance has to see my hs and even worse when I break down & have him doctor them up. The one thing I always fall back on is how great he is about it & I'm sure your husband is the same way. Its very hard but sometimes we need to sit back & be thankful that we have supportive significant others in our lives. In reading through some of the other posts on here, so many people are dealing with hs alone, we are truly blessed to have these wonderful men in our lives. My suggestion to help the lesions on your back, find a tight fitting undershirt & have your hubby cover your back in medicated absorbant powder before putting it on. The shirt should help hold the powder in place and drawing the moisture away from the lesions and help them heal. Its very easy to let our embarrasment cause us to lash out at the people that are trying to help us and be supportive, I'm guilty of it. Be thankful for your support system and tell them so. Keep your head. Up and remember, you are beautiful. Your devoted husband proves that.

Well said surf. I agree it does help to have someone there supporting and doctoring us up :) mine tend to break out more when my bf is gone. Hes in the military and gets deployed :( we shower together and i always try to hide or cover up my pits. He gets irritated at me cuz I hide. He says hw doesnt care about them that we will make them better. Even thou he doesnt have HS he does suffer with me :) sounds like yall have good men congrats.

Thank you so much for those comments I needed that. I have been so depressed lately. I wanted to go swimming with my family today but couldn't bare the thought of chlorine in my open wounds our my other flare ups. It sucked so bad. I had surgery when I was 13 and I now have scars and my 3 year old niece asked me why I had owies, cute but embarrassing. Living with this is hard.

Hmm have you ever tried to go swimming? I mean im with ya I wear shirts when I go swimming but it doesnt bother my armpits or inner thighs it actually seems to help the pain and destressess me tons. Maybe get a lil bit of the water and see if it would effect your wounds/break outs. Yeah when I went to my prom a couple years ago I wore a halter top dress. I darken my skin up which hide some of the redness and scars but i didnt put my arms up too too high. I have totally felt that way. Scared that my boyfriend won't think I'm sexy anymore :( it's really depressing and he can totally tell when I'm feeling that way and makes a point of telling me how awesome and beautiful I am. LOL he could say that all day but it still doesn't change how I feel about me. So on those days I like to make a point of putting on some make-up and some nice clothes. It helps me feel better. It doesn't change that I have soars and scars and that they may or may not be leaking disgusting puss into bandages at that moment. But I look in the mirror and see a pretty me and as superficial as that is it really does make me feel better.

And then maybe the man and I will have a date night or do something to get my mind of it and usually by the next day I feel better nd back to my sexy hs infected self!! Staying positive is super hard but helps.

Don't be embarrassed Hun. Twice a Day my husband bandages my A**.....I also have them in my inner and outer labia which doesn't help. Also both sides of my groin. Talk about embarrassing! As far as healing the holes, have you tried asking your doctor for a script for "Silver Sulfadiazine Cream" it is VERY Helpful in healing open wounds. It DOES take some time, but it WILL Close.

I try to stay positive but I get this feeling in the pit of my stomach likeu know that day is going to be a down. Having intercourse is hard becuz of the smell. Thank you for all the positive talk I needed that. My husband gives me alot of that but hearing it from others who have this horrible problem helps.
