Hello HS community !!

Question, has anyone ever met/ been in the same room with a fellow HS sufferer?? I HAVEN'T! We're pretty much always alone:(

I think it would be so nice to actually meet people in person who share this! To be in a physical setting surrounded with people that get it for a change! I just think it could be good for the spirit to be in an environment of understanding as opposed to one of explaining for a change.

I'm in Philadelphia. ....anyone out there in the tri-state area?? Let me know if this idea appeals to you.

Hey everyone, I'm bored here and you don't know much better I feel knowing that I'm not alone. I've always know that I'm not the only one with HS, but I've never stumbled upon a community like this one. This is the first post I've seen and I think this is a beyond great idea. I'm in Vancouver, Washington :) hope I can find someone near me

Toronto, Ontario Canada here. Would love to meet people suffering from the same as me. I have suffered from this for over 20 years, and I am only 34 years old. It started as Pilonidal Sinus/cysts at the top of my butt crack/bottom of spine, which would swell, fill with fluids and luckily in most occurrences I have suffered from so far, they have been able to drain once it reached a certain level of inflammation, because of an opening that exists at this location. However, over the many years of embarrassing symptoms, they have begun appearing as HS in my groin lines, and recently even in my armpits. The armpit ones are a bit different because they sometimes leave pits which become very agitated when I use underarm deodorant or some body washes. I have recently realized that my sedentary lifestyle is probably causing higher frequencies of outbursts because this summer, they have begun appearing more frequently, and in places, they have never before appeared(armpit and as of this week on the outer upper thigh or left buttocks cheek). I have no support system and anyone I talk to about this, doesn't really get it or want to understand, and that makes me embarrassed to continue reaching out to my friends. I would love to meet someone here in Toronto who would be up for becoming friends with me and acting as support systems for each other. I am a happily married gay male and am in the process of becoming a social media activist on platforms like Youtube and Twitter etc. I am tired of feeling alone in the world when it comes to this problem that I suffer from regularly. So if you live nearby Toronto Canada, please, let's talk/meet/support each other. Thank you to the creator of this post, I have been hoping for a group like this for so long, that I am surprised it has taken me this long to discover this post/website.
