I just joined and am glad to find people just like me! I got a call from the show the doctors to appear with my disease. After some very emotional thinkin i decided to do it to raise awareness about HS! It was awful knowing everyone would see my curse! But i did it for all of us to see the latest treatment options! I saw the post about the yag laser and this was similar. It was the yag and another laser together. It helped! I would like to invite all of you to watch the show on November 16th. I AM terrified about it because i usually isolate myself! I will be a hot mess that day but if it will help someone it will be all worth it!

Well i was on the promo a few times i think. I just hope this helps people who are ashamed to know that there are so many people out there that have it! I hope this raises some awareness so that people who haven't been to the doctor cuz of embarrassment will go! The more people with a disease the more likely they will do more studies!

Bumping this up since the show is TODAY! I went to the website and read up on what all will be discussed. My brother has severe Psoriasis (yeah, our family is a hot mess! lol), and that will be discussed as well. Thanks Tarra, for opening up about this horrible disease!!!

How did the treatments work for you?

It hasn't came on where i live yet. I am so nervous lol. The Pulsed Dye laser she used was awesome! No pain and the spot that was raised and draining was completely gone flat and lost a lot of the redness! I need more treatments but i am fighting my insurance company cuz they don't want to cover it. Yes it worked on the arm she did just with one treatment! No problems since and that was over amonth ago. Thank you i cried just reading that you cried lol i am a hot mess lol

Tara thank you for your courage and showing us that we need to spread the word. I have stage 3 HS and looked at the show real carefully. Do you think it would work on HS sufferes even worst off than yours? I live in NC and was wondering does any provide this
pulsed dye laser.

I hope your insurance comes through. I hate that the insurance companies fight people getting the treatments they need. Sometimes it seems as if the treatment they deny ends up costing them more in the long run when the condition doesn't go away.

You were simply awesome! One question though, how in the name of God did you sit through those injections and not even flinch, I would have been dying, cameras or no. Even numbing injections hurt like an SOB, at least for me. I hope your insurance lets you continue the treatments and I hope they are working for you.

Thanks Tarranashe for your courage, LORD knows I know the levels of embarrassment we feel concerning this awful disease. I receive the monthly injections of Kenolog which I hope helps you as it does me. My question is the laser, is it only used for stage 1 or can other stages nenefit from this treatment?

Wow I just watched the show..First of all I just want to say that you are definitely an inspiration. you were so awesome and brave I would not have been able to do it!! But I just wanted to know how the treatments worked for you? Hope they did you deserve it!
