Damn girl, get a Lawyer NOW! What they are doing to you is illegal!! You will OWN that company with crap like this going on! Also go to the ER, they BILL you there and you wont have to worry about it right now. Then when you can, go to the social services office and apply for Medicaid. It is retroactive for 90 days, so it pays medical bills that you have for the last 90 days. Also apply for unemployment even if you don't think you will get it.. ask your lawyer about this, he will be able to tell you what to do but it CAN be challenged and they WILL have to pay it if you win. I would also phone the insurance company and have them send you written proof of the date that your policy was cancelled and by WHOM! I am sure whoever called in to cancel it gave a name, made a paper trail and CAN be found out. You will definately need this information for court, to subpeona them to find out who ordered your policy cancelled and what reason they were given to cancel it and what day they called the insurance company, if nothing else. You can NOT be denied medical care regardless of ability to pay!! There are hospitals and doctors who WILL see you once you explain your situation and that you are just out of surgery for this and are NOT even healed up yet! Phone around and see who you can get. But I bet that the ER will see you regardless of ability to pay. Good Lord! I hope that you get to feeling better soon! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hugs.

rebecca- i have been trying to find an attorney, just waiting for someone to call me back. my WC attorney said i have a great case, so im not worried about that. just here in Reno, there aren't that many wrongful termination attorneys.
i thought about going to the ER but i live 45 mins away from the closest hospital. it just didnt seem worth it. :(....
i did manage to go to the welfare office today and get a packet for medicaid. :) now i just have to fill it out. and me and my fiance decided to get married alot earlier then planned, by just having a quicky wedding at one of the crazy reno chapels, so he can get me on his insurance. then have our bigger wedding this summer. :)

WooHoo!! Congratulations on the Marriage! Thats fantastic! I wish you many, many years of blissful happiness! Now about this summer wedding... whats the chances of scoring an invitation!?! ;-) LOL! I am SO happy for you!!! This news just made my week!

once you are terminated you have cobra.... join Pre-paid legal and ask them about the termination... the cost is very low BUT you get great legal advice and you can terminate your membership at amytime... seriously... You need legalk advice and help with your health issues..
