I believe there is a hormonal connection to our HS. I am not sure what would happen with the hormonal swings that would come with a hysterectomy or how hard it would be to balance the hormones synthetically after the procedure and what if any impact that would have on our HS. I wonder if synthetic hormones would make HS worse.
As far as BC goes, I think there are some formulas that can be helpful. I found some brands made it worse whereas others seemed to a positive improvement to HS, specifically ones that contain sprinolactone. I was on and off of the pill for years in my 20s and help reduce breakouts. It think its all about maintaining the right hormonal levels for your body.

My dermatologist is trying laser treatments. I've gone through 4 hair removal treatments for my underarms without benefit. Next we're going to try the IPL laser. If I find "the cure", I'll let you all know:)
