Was wondering if anyone has seen this or used this product:
To the best of my understanding, the makers of Emu-aid have been in trouble before for making claims they shouldn't have been about its ability to treat HS, even if their product may offer some benefits for some of us.
I think some of that might be discussed here, which may be a fairly fair-and-balanced discussion about Emu-aid?

However I must beg to differ with the author of that work or any other about Hidradenitis "not being an infection" - the very best research we have very strongly suggests it is either caused by infection, or carries an extremely high likelihood of involving infection, often with what seem to be very typical and predictable infections for the diagnosis.
Historically, there have been misunderstandings that may be linked to errors in medical textbooks on HS that have taken on a life of their own and caused widespread confusion about this, discouraging doctors from thinking they are dealing with infection even when they themselves recognized the presence of infection prior to learning of the HS diagnosis and being wrongly discouraged from thinking there is infection present.
Have your daughter shower/bathe with Mysore Sandal Soap daily. It's a lather rich sandalwood soap manufactured in India, and I can personally attest to it getting my HS under control. Go with the 150 gram bars. I love the smell of sandalwood anyway, and it really perfumes up the bathroom. Sandalwood has antibacterial and antiinflammatory and antioxidant properties and it's good for your skin. The place I buy it is an Indian Store out of New York online. I actually took part in their study and got free jars of the stuff and have 1 left that is getting low but I won't buy it. There is a lady on Etsy who makes a healing butter that I use for a bad breakout to make the pain go away, It has Emu oil in I that helps fade scarring. Most of all she's got to keep stress level down, as it just makes it worse. Use a good cleaner in bathroom on toilet and shower/tub that has bleach in it or that kills germs. I hope this helps.
I have nothing to gain by giving you this information. I only know too well what HS is about, and I don't suffer with it anymore.
