Ive been having one of those days againyou all know what I mean I am sure. Theres pain, oozing, odor, and just feeling worthless. Then my husband comes home and says the nicest thingshow much he loves me, and how beautiful I am (love is blind! lol!) So I feel good for a bit and then get all weepy again. I cant do the things I used to do, like keep the house as clean as I used to be able to, go visit with my friends, and even go to the store. I get the sense of guilt for not being able to do things that everyone else does.
I even caught myself thinkingWhy me, God? That was a moment that shook me up a bit. I thought hold up a minuteGod is not the cause of this disease or any other. It is human imperfection. God is the one who provides comfort for the depressed soul. So I immediately prayed and felt sooo much better. Getting that spiritual uplift really helps a lot. Reading the Bible daily also helps to keep myself out of that funk. So with that in mind I just want to share some scriptures that are of comfort to me and hopefully you too.
Before I list the scriptures, I just want you all to know that I am not a nut that only believes in faith healing! I take turmeric, zinc, antibiotics and, thanks to gfpaperdoll I have even changed my diet and it has helped! I am gonna try dustbuckets prep H mix next! By the way--dustbucket, if you are reading this, I love your sense of humor! And ajensen, you are so sweet and always have good advise and an encouraging wordTHANKS!
This topic is mostly to discuss what has helped me with the mental and emotional part of the disease. And I feel that my faith has helped so much with that aspect of it, I wanted to share. I have read some topics and many of you have mentioned a spiritual aspect that helps you tooso I thought maybe some of you would appreciate it
(Psalm 147:3) He is healing the brokenhearted ones, And is binding up their painful spots.
(I Really like that one because I have a lot of Painful spots with HS!)
(Isaiah 41:10) Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness.
(Psalm 34:4) I inquired of Jehovah, and he answered me, And out of all my frights he delivered me.
(Psalm 34:6) This afflicted one called, and Jehovah himself heard. And out of all his distresses He saved him.
(Psalm 40:1-2) I earnestly hoped in Jehovah, And so he inclined [his ear] to me and heard my cry for help. 2 He also proceeded to bring me up out of a roaring pit, Out of the mire of [the] sediment. Then he raised up my feet upon a crag; He firmly established my steps.
(1 Peter 5:7) while YOU throw all YOUR anxiety upon him, because he cares for YOU.
There are so many more, I encourage you all to read the Bible and remember the Promises God gives us for a bright and beautiful future in a Paradise Earth with out sickness.(Revelation 21:3-4) With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
So if anyone would like to discuss what hope we have for the future, or if you would like to talk about other scriptures that are encouraging, or about why we suffer and when it will end, please message me! Id be happy to share any encouragement with you and get encouragement in return too!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
P.S. I sent you a message. Can't wait to hear from you.
