Has anyone heard of Colloidial Silver? I was doing some research on natural remedies to help relive the painful bumps/cysts that are accompanied by hidradenitis suppurativa and it popped up. Mainly it was people saying they had used it for various treatments and it had helped tremendously. I did find a Web MD article saying it can be used for all kinds of health issues including skin rashes, acne, etc but it also stated no scientific proof shows the Colloidial Silver is what helps.
I am desperate to find something to help me with these bumps they are painful and I'm so tired of them. Antibiotics don't seem to help overall, I did get a shot of antibiotics at work one day (I work for a doctor) and it helped clear up a bad one I had that wouldn't go away but other than that no relief.
I'm beyond the point of modern medicine and looking into other alternatives to help. Modern medicine doesn't know enough about this disease to treat it properly.

I got scared off the idea because the authors of the papers on zinc for HS tried to come up a reason we might be zinc deficient and what they proposed was that heavy metals in cigarette smoke might be a possible cause. I really wanted to try the zinc therapy right away and I was afraid a silver product might interfere so I declined the burn specialist and missed my chance. I might have been superstitious about this but I never have been able to get to the bottom of whether silver could interfere with zinc and the zinc sounded so promising at the time that I didn't want to risk it.
Sometimes I have enough troubles just to remember that mineral suppliments including zinc can interfere with doxycycline in the stomach.
I've heard often that colloidal silver is expensive, and there is such a thing as too much. There have been people on talk shows before who permanently turned themselves silver with the stuff and may have damaged their health with it as well.
I don't know if it's a fair measure of how effective it is, but I saw those silver people on TV and was really tempted to assume they might have been driven to such ridiculous doses by lack of effectiveness for whatever their particular condition was.
