I know this is a personal question but do any of you have implants? It has always something Ive wanted to get done after I was finished having kids but with this stupid HS it doesn't look like its ever going to happen. I currently only get tiny bumps under my breasts but I don't want to risk getting implants and have the sores get worse and cause complications. Anyone have experience with this? should I just eff it and get them anyway? sometimes I think there is no point in having nice breasts since my armpits are gross and I never expose my body anyway but at the same time I want to do it! damn this stupid disease!

I have huge boobs but they are real, I want to, once ive lost all of the weigh I want to lose, get a reduction and lift. I want my boobs to be perky where refer is no friction from them rubbing my rib cage.

I say go for it - my boobs are huge too and also real, I dont have too many problems with HS there, and for their size surprisingly perky. If that is something that will make you feel better about yourself I say go for it. You only live once!!

I have implants to correct for asymmetry... I get tiny lumps on the tops of my breasts, but I think they are more like cystic acne than HS. I haven't had any issues with HS and implants. My incisions are at the base of my breasts where they meet my ribcage, so not anywhere near where I get the little cysts. Check out this website, especially the message forum. http://www.implantinfo.com/discussions/index.aspx. I used to watch it like a hawk before I got implants. There are a lots of pros and cons to implants, so definitely do a good bit of research before jumping into it and find a good surgeon. Good luck if you decide to go through with it! Don't let HS stop you from feeling beautiful about yourself. Make your decision based on the other factors about implants, don't let HS weigh into that :)

thanks for the advice guys. I still have a few years to think about it and it will also give me an idea of what my HS decides to do in that area. If it stays pretty much dormant in my chest area I may just go ahead and do it!

I've had one (actually two, a revision a few years later to replace saline with silicone). Luckily I haven't had any issues with lesions under my breasts. My big issue is the groin area...

I'd say ask a good surgeon if he's ever had experience with this condition and if it flares more after surgery. But if that area isn't really a problem for you now, I'd say you're probably ok :)
