so my local paper published my story this evening for tomorrows paper, and they did a wonderful job writing it. they went into very detail of what HS is and how it really effects us. the even mentioned our support group. even though they didnt put the name, this is the group they are talking about. since this is the only one im a member of.

it was extremely hard reading the article, and now i hurt on the inside real bad. im starting to feel that maybe letting them do the story wasnt such a good idea. maybe im not ready for the general public and all those police officers who once looked at me like their lil sis to hear this story.

well im just venting, i loved the article but at the same time i hated it becuase of how sad it was. and the worst part about it is that its my life. thats how i live.and i hate it so much.

Don't worry my dear, what comes around goes around, and they will get theirs. One day they may wake up with a Golf Ball Sized Boil and wonder what the heck is going on...hmmm, who will be there for them? Certainly hate to say you "Told them so", your glory days are coming...stay strong, and ingore their petty comments. You got the word out, and your helping other people understand this horrible condition...those comments should be deleted..for Rudeness.

I read your article and I think you are very courageous. I'm sorry to hear about all that you have gone through with your HS. Ignore the mean comments left by family members, who obviously don't have a clue what HS is all about. I was diagnosed in October with HS, although I have probably had it for a few years. I had surgery to remove a cyst from my right armpit in November. On Christmas morning, I woke up to two large boils in my groin. They seem to be spreading and now I have five boils. I am trying to get an appointment to see a dermatologist and taking Aleve for the pain. This disease is horrible. I will keep you in my prayers. Take care. Hugs!

I joined this site last night and have just seen your article, you've done such a brave thing in doing this and making the public more aware of this horrible illness we suffer from, I'm so sorry to hear your having problems with your family too, your going through way too much dealing with the HS and the family problems, i hope you can get some peace, comfort and happiness soon.

I was able to find your article by google, It's out there and I hope everyone gets a chance to read it. I don't think you have any idea what a brave girl you are and just how much you have helped all of us who suffer with this!

As for some of your family, all I could think was "No wonder she doesn't talk to them". Your a smart girl to cut your ties with the toxic part of your family. Their bad news and always will be. I'm quite sure that reporter did his homework on your medical history, theres no way he would risk his carreer by not fact checking. And then theres the obiovous Who Would Make This Up??? I mean if you were going to lie to iss benefits there better dieases out there to choose from. Their comments were mean, inappropriate, and obsurred.
