Philli....take some time, read through some of the posts.....kinda get a feel for what some of these folks are going through.

Learn the language, names of meds.....possible sides, both physical and mental. Learn all you can.....knowledge is Power.

My X told me one time that Hep C had become "MY" disease.....and he was correct.....I learned everything I could about it....and I learned A LOT from groups just like this one.

Your probably where you were before. Im sure he still loves you, its just hard to plan a future when you dont know if you have one , Hep c is hard and you go through alot durning treatment. When Im sick, I want to be along in my misery. I dont want to burden it on anyone else. I dont want anyone to feel sorry for me. Some people ar the oposite. Just realize it isnt you, its him. If you care about him, stay on this site and you will understand and he will know you understand and love him. On treatment all you want to do is lay around, your sex drive is gone. Please don't take it to heart. From what I hear, this tx can get very hard towards the middle... I've noticed I say mean things to my DH just out of the blue. I wanted to kill him for making to much noise with the ice in his glass....lol clink, clink, clink...nearly drove me crazy! I've even got up and punched him in the arm for coughing to loud.

He may be trying to save your relationship this way....do you have a place you can go?
You need to keep living your life, have fun and go do things. That is what I tell my DH to do...I encourage him to go out...just let me stay at home, and I'm fine with that. It's quiet.

sorry hit the submit button in the middle of writing... I understand that he talks to people on here but I feel like he uses it as a replacement for talking to me, but then says I don't support him. I don't know how to support him if he doesn't let me know what he feeling. I suggested going to couples therapy but I never get an answer. I would love for the relationship to work and understand all of the stress he is going through now. But I don't think he realizes how stressful it is me as well.

As others have said, please try not to take it personally. During my treatment, I didn't want to see or talk to anyone because it was such an effort. There are even many nights after I get home from work that I just have to tell my husband that I don't want to talk. It's just too much sometimes.

we become close on here because we are all in the same boat. My husband jokinly says I must have a boyfriend. That is the last thing on my mind. Its the support ( not that Im saying you dont support him) Its just every body seems to know how you feel with out explaining or pity.

I don't talk to my DH about this tx much either. I just don't want to load him up. And yes, trying to explain stuff to him about how I feel is tooooo much effort. You know, I am not trying to make him suffer with me....ok, sometimes, I want him to feel my pain! I can't help it, and then I feel so bad aftewards for being such a bitch, then I get all sad and weepy. It's crazy!

Hang in there as I have been married for a very long time and my wife and I have found that my going through TX,amongst other things, has strained our relationship to the max.TX is nasty stuff and it does mess with you both mentally as well as physically. I was an impatient prick before TX and boy I am really bad on TX and I realize that so I try to really think before I open my mouth, I am not always successful. YES it is just as stressful for the companion to live through TX, I fully agree with you on that fact... I am sorry you are having to go through this scenario....

all shitting aside i would attend an anger management course. has nothing to do with hcv but its about relationship problems. misdirected anger, lies of omission, manipulation, control issues. the cool thing is theyre cheap and contain better relationship advice than most eggheaded counselors can muster.hes gonna need someone to rub those aching muscles so the guy better stop with the macho shit..

i've found myself withdrawing from my family, and never wanting to leave the house or do anything. it's not that i love them any less, i just don't feel like visiting with them, i'd rather be here
it may be part of the depression caused by the meds

I am brand new 2 the site.My husband sounds the same way.He doesn't want 2 talk, has major mood swings (Dr. Jeckyl)and can be quite mean & nasty. I try 2 understand but sometimes these comments catch one off-guard and the fight is on!!Definately tough on the "care-giver" as well. Chin up, he'll talk when he's ready.

his brain and body have been hi jacked. it is impossible to describe what it is like to go through TX to someone that hasn't been through it.

i was a monster to anyone around me. i almost got my self fired. my poor wife to the brunt of it. i wouldn't talk to any of my family.

although TX does not affect everyone this way, it looks like your BF is a s bad i as i was.

ijust do the best you can, try to stay out of his way.
