Tylenol is safe under 2,000 mg a day total for people with liver disease (reg dose is 4,000 mg for liver healthy people).
It is safe up to that level as the liver can process that amount but if you take more and overwhelm the liver it becomes very toxic and very dangerous. It's a shitty pain reliever.
NSAIDs are relatively safe in moderate infrequent amounts. NSAIDS thin the blood and can increase fibrosis (micro bleeds).
Most OTC pain drugs that are not Acetaminophen (Tylenol) are NSAIDS eg, Advil, Motrin, etc.etc
It is best to get you Dr.s advice

BTW the RICE you are doing (rest ice compression elevation) is a very good step.

Also arnica can increase bleeds. Research it. Make informed decisions. Hope your pain subsides soon.

My doctor has me alternating doses of Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Can't say that it is doing any good on my pain.

Yeah they mostly suck I agree Clay. Advil seems the best but sadly each one I take comes with a small price to my liver health.
I asked my Dr if I could just have a martini instead and he laughed. NSAIDS aren't as bad as alcohol but just don't pound them back on a regular basis was his advice.

Careful of the oxcodone though, it is a poop stopper so you would also need to take a stool softener.

Advil in moderation for swelling issues.
