Hi everyone. I started treatment about 9 weeks ago. At week 4 I was non detectable, and this was from taking Sovaldi and 800mgs of Ribavirin. They had to cut me from the Ribavirin because it caused me to get 4 blood transfusions. Now I'm Sovaldi and Olysio going on week 2. I got my week 8 blood work back today and I'm still non detectable. I say thank you Jesus!!! Thank you God for giving wisdom to the people invoked who created these new drugs with less side effects. You truly are lord Jesus.

I just noticed you wrote, "with less side effects," and that is so true. For some of us, it's not a "no side effects" trip. I have had a headache for three weeks that has only gotten worse - migraine level now. Headaches can be a side effect of Sovaldi. Meds called in aren't working so I will be getting something else.

I remember you had some serious issues with Riba, but that's behind you now. What matters is that you remain UD and you are Olysio instead of Riba. I've had no sides from Olysio (at least according to what's listed as sides for each of the drugs), just the Sovaldi headache. But I'll get through it. I'm about half way there (to 12 weeks).

That is great news. It took me longer to get to UD than most but I am now in that club too. I wish there was an alternative for type 2b, what GT are you?

Thanks for keeping us updated. I'm sure it will take time for your blood counts to stabilize since the riba stays in the system for quite some time. Glad you were able to replace one weapon with a sharper newer, deadlier weapon keeping you in the fight... no TKO's for you ... great news Billy.

Thank you for Billy for sharing your great news. Its so helpful that you've reminded us of which treatment you are taking. I'm so happy they took you off the riba! Did it change the dose of the solvadi? and they added Olysio.

so happy for you yey thank you Jesus, I have a question, I see your lke me with cirrhosis and hcv have you prior to tx ever suffered from severe weakness and joint pains? brain fog etc etc, if so have they lessened, and do you feel stronger, just wondering, stay strong Mr. BillyVaughn ;) peace and gods blessings to you and yours...
