Viral load count tests during TX?

My question is to ask how many are getting viral load counts during TX? I think I recall that several here already got a peek at VL and results looked great...

My doc will not be testing until TX is completely done in June. Anyone else? I am super anxious to see asap if it's working!

Here's my Lab schedule:

Week 1 - CBC w/plats

Week 2 - CBC w/plats

Week 3 - CBC w/plats

Week 4 - CBC w/plats

Week 8 - CBC w/plats

Week 12 - CBC w/plats, CMP, *HepC Quantasure RNA PCR (Labcorp) / Heptimax (QUEST) Clinical Significance

*Predict response to antiviral therapy, differentiate lack of therapeutic response from partial therapeutic response, and demonstrate resolution of infection.

Does that sound right???

Thats cause the test are very expensive.....they shouldve checked at 4 wks....ill bet ure udie.svr..ull be cured..be positive....god bless

I had one blood test on about day 19 and my viral load was 110. Tomorrow I go for VL test to see where I am now that it is 8 weeks in. I am on an emotional roller coaster. I want to know what is going on but I fear that I have not cleared the virus. I have experienced this disease as a black cloud over my life for 20 years.
On a positive note treatment is going well. Fatigue is strong but it is not a "sick" feeling. I expected to feel much worse than this based on my last treatment 20 years ago. This is nothing like that. But that prior treatment failure looms large in my mind.

Yep, beachy, that sounds about right - close to what all of us on the new tx are doing. Every doctor is gonna be a bit different. As I kinda said, I'm not even sure I want to know my 4 week VL that was done last week if it's not UD. But I will find out - I know I'll be getting a call this week. I am perfectly content waiting until week 12, EOT, for the last VL draw (for a while).

Be SURE to get your test results so you can see with your own eyes how powerful Sovaldi is (olysio on board for me too, but Sovaldi is the SERIOUS bug killer).

I am running a few days behind Catmagic.. But am on 24 weeks of Ribi/INF and i think I have one at 4.. at 12 weeks .... then at EOT then 6 months after !!!
My other blood stuff is looking better ..my platelets went up from 41-51 and my ALT GGT

Had at 2 wks, 4 wks, 8 wks and again a week after done (wk 13). VL was not undie at 2 weeks, but was at 4 and 8. I think your VL should be checked before 12 week mark, but not sure....
