Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Two pharmaceutical companies will work together next quarter on a mid-stage trial for an interferon-free Hepatitis C treatment.

I just wanted to spread the word about HCV trials enrolling in Los Angeles and Las Vegas through the end of November. This is a research based trial that wants one blood sample for genotypes 2,3,5 or 6. There is no medication given. Compensation is $50.
