got my 4 weeks results today... undetectable!! wooo hoooo
but i don't want to get too excited, cause i was clear with the original treatment 5 years ago.... and at 6 months post treatment i had relapsed.
is relapse rate less with incivek?

Do you remember when you went Und with your SOC treatment?
I was under the impression, that if you have treated before, and relapsed, that you are required to do the full 48 weeks, but I could be wrong.
Also, from what I understand, prior relapsers (of SOC) do very well, with these new Protease Inhibitors. I think the rate of NOT relapsing (obtaining SVR) is something like 70%, but I think higher, if your achieved Und, at 4 weeks.
So, I would guess yes, there is less chance of relapse, for genotype 1's, on Triple Tx, then on SOC, which I believe was a 50% chance of achieving SVR. Again, even with SOC, it matters when you went Undie.
For instance, I went Und with SOC, at 4 weeks, which is supposed to give me a 90% chance of achieving SVR.
Lets knock on wood, and praying for all of us with Hep C to achieve SVR!!
and it is my understanding that incivek is ONLY for genotype 1... and i suppose that once i get thru the incivek the rest will be gravy
from what i read online the svr for 24 weeks was about the same as for 48 weeks... but that is early propaganda... i'm still bouncing off the walls with the results!
I too am on Incevik and was undie at the 4 week test. Friday I go for my 8 week hepitmax. I can't wait! I am genotype 1b, are you a or b? I don't think it matters much, but thank god it's working for us!
