Honestly, not an expert but depends on what treatment they give you and how your body reacts to it.

Some do great.........I know the waiting and not knowing is awful

I did triple w/victrellis. Only missed 1 day from work in 48 weeks. It was not easy but I had no choice. You can do it but it is not real easy. Watch the brainfog. I was climbing telephone poles and doing outside work. Now that it is over I am inside,Go figure!LOL On the bright side I now feel ten times better than before TX. Ride road bikes 40-60 miles 2-3 times a week. Slip 20 or so mountain bike miles inbetween!! Would never have happened before TX.

I did all the txs starting with the old interferon/ribavarin thru incivek/pegasys/riba (with procrit for the anemia fron the riba), I managed to work in a fairly physical job all the time because I had to-- or I would have lost the insurance that was paying for the meds-- but it was not fun--the intereron made me have to constantly double check my work and the riba made me a little nuts and very tired. I am currently taking Olysio/Solbadi/Riba and my doc reduced the Riba to 600 mg QD which makes it better, Lots of water is important and trying to get enough sleep (or at least going to bed at the same time and getting up at the same to keep your body clock stabilized, Also at really bad times repeating "it's only the drugs" or "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger" over and over can help (lol) It is doable (fishboy was doing Wichita Lineman stuff!) Of course if your liver disease is not too far advanced (F1 or F2) you might want to wait for combination of Solvadi and another drug that is expected to be here by the beginning of next year. My friend did that for 8 weeks in a clinical trial with no S/E and cleared the virus, Best of luck to you

I too worked for 48 horrible weeks on Interferon and Riba, with Incivek thrown in for the first 12. I'm not sure I could have done so if I wasn't able to work from home. But my reaction was worse than most.

But like Bill, I am doing better than ever a year later. I'm also riding a bunch myself, maybe we should ride someday.

The Nurse I talked to she was gonna replace one that causes anemia so don't know which one that will be!

Ribavarin causes anemia but thats not say other meds don't

You need to ask her what they are prescribing.
RIBA and interferon: one kills RBC and other kills WBC. They will get you at both ends.

Well I am Genotype 1b all I know but don't know what I will be using they was gonna use another drug beside the one that makes you have anemia that's all I know so far have not heard back from them yet.

Well found out today my order comes in Friday Solvaldi - Pegasys - Ribavarin have to wait and see how to take it hope be next week.
