Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

Does anybody know how long after you're accepted in a trial , how long it takes to get started. Supposed to get in as soon as they recruit in IN.

When I did mine, I had to start within 45 days.

Beth have u done the physical and blood work? Also any releaser of medical records concerning ure hep biopsy etc....once excepted 1 to 2 mos...good luck and god bless......

They are recruiting in 31 locations so far. 11 still not yet recruiting. I'm in the 11. Indiana. My dr.. hold me as soon as it comes available. He'll get me in it.

you want to get your name in there as soon as possible... the not recruiting status on the govt site is not always up-to-date... sometimes they are late with updates. my trial was filled up when they were still not recruiting yet. you have a specific trial in mind?

He said he'd do the foot work. I've never been in a trial.

Yes, mine was within either 30 or 45 days of screening (that's when they did the physical, EKG, initial blood work. Hope they get you started soon! Good Luck.

Yes, drug testing.
And as others have said, they will tell you when you start & if you can't commit they will take the next one in line.
They read you all the conditions. Pay attention to what they will or will not pay for.

they are doing this trial at my research center too. I go back next month and wonder if they will offer this to me. they only tested me for hard core drugs.
