Spring will be here before we know it.. The days are getting longer now...
Bob, when is your finishing date?
Time does seem to stand still. It's like when I was in the 4th grade, and spring finally arrived. All I had to do was get through the final period, History with Mr. Powell, then I could go play baseball. But I can remember how time just stood still! He would drone on and on about Magellan and Ponce de Leon, and I would sneak a glance at the clock on only 5 minutes had passed. The windows were open, and I could smell the spring air. Let me outta here!
Two hours later, I would look again, and only 20 minutes had gone by.
Treatment is like that everyday.
Bob
Tx totally sucks I can say entering week #31. Most difficult thing I've ever had to do and it halted my life completely in every way possible. As I've often said, in the ways that I feared it would be bad it wasn't. It was horrible in other ways I've never imagined. The isolation, anhedonia (google it), crazy mood shifts and strange thinking and perseverations. I lost interest in most things because nothing else mattered to me except for getting through this awful experience. I will be done in less than two weeks. Again, if if works I'm glad I did it. I would never do it again myself unless I was dying but that's truly my experience. It was way too much of a long commitment that wrecks your mind, body and soul and it was torture.
I lived here because I had no interest in anything else. I couldn't motivate to do anything more aside from work and minimal social stuff. Totally unlike my pre-tx life. Anyway I've been forcing myself to keep busy since Christmas and will continue to do so until I'm done. I actually feel cruddy today but rolling with it. My life is coming back slowly. I'm grateful for that.
Yes time goes super slow. It's the TREATMENT BLACK HOLE and I know no other way to describe it.
Bitch or rant away when needed. Just remember to post positive and humorous stuff when you're feeling that way too. Others benefit from our truths on tx. I put much of my experience out here as many know. It was the craziest if crazy rides.
So yeah, screw it. Tx sucks it's nasty poison and harsh on us so rant, bitch, complain, vent whatever!! I feel better already. :-)~
You're right at the point (about 4 mos) that I was when I was most fatigued, and hgb was lowest. Procrit didn't help me. Finishing incivek, stopping riba for about 8 days and finally getting a pint of blood brought my hgb up, and I felt much better after that. Hopefully you will too. What is your hgb?
I used to rinse my mouth w/a little peroxide & water about once a week or so. It helped. My achiness wasn't so bad during the middle of tx, but has come back recently. Ibprophen helps.
I'm glad you had a good day today. I liked to walk when having a good day. or other fun things like clean the house or do laundry..lol.
My energy isn't terrific now, but it's much better.
I'm telling you all this to give you hope. You may be about to come out of the worst of it like I did.
I had a new sore on the right side of my lip. You know the ones. I hadn't had those since July. To the effing end. You could catalogue these sx's.
Good luck and let me know how it goes. I'd be curious to see if it helps
