Don't know how I am still alive....Supposedly stage 2, geno 3a, still waiting for Dec SVR check - have inner doubts.
I only told my Hubby and just recently, when I got started feeling sick, my 2 adult kids - but I had started old tx in 2011.
I had to tell my one daughter as my one drunken, nasty sister was using that as a "threat to me" to tell her at Christmas......She was nasty when she drank.
I had started being VERY open with my entire "close" family, but as you can see, sometimes it can be used against you.....and that hurts deeply.
Someone just wrote that they wish they had cancer instead, and honestly many, many times I felt that way...They call the whole family in, everyone pitches in - you get sympathy, etc.
It is PERSONAL and onl y you have to live with that decision..
I still have remained in the dark, and only tell chosen few...."Now as far as I know, everyone might know and it's been a "secret" , and no one can keep their mouth shut.
Just my 2 cents for what it is worth...
My biggest fear still is that it will return as it has twice before.
